It is beautiful to trust in the Lord and see His Word show itself real in our lives. We are seeing the favor of God in our family. After spending some time in Sonora with our family, God showed us that it was time to return to our church Calvary Chapel Rosarito and continue to do His will. We are back in Rosarito and very happy with our baby Abigail, excited to be able to serve the Lord as a family. Last Sunday, we dedicated Abigail, we made a commitment before God to guide her in the Word and be an example for her. May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be upon her!!! We are happy to share this small update! Thanks to God we made it to Mexico and a few days ago we have begun to start getting organized and involved here in Sonora. As you already know, we had to leave Nicaragua before we planned. After praying and asking God for direction we decided that it was best to return to Mexico for a time. Working Construction The bible teaches that the Apostle Paul worked with his hands (Acts 18:3) as he simultaneously served in the ministry. I give thanks to God because in such a short time he provided a job for me. I began to work in construction four days a week. Although it is very hot in Sonora, I am content to be doing this.  My wife Linda had her first doctor’s appointment here in Sonora. Thanks to God, she is eight months along. She is content to share this time with her family and to be helping in her parent’s church. Estamos contentos de compartir esta pequeña actualización!  Gracias a Dios llegamos con bien a México, desde hace unos días estamos en Sonora instalándonos y organizando nuestro tiempo aquí. Como ustedes saben tuvimos que salir de Nicaragua antes de lo planeado.  Después de orar y pedir a Dios su dirección decidimos que lo mejor era regresar a México por este tiempo. Trabajando en construcción La Biblia enseña que el apóstol Pablo trabajaba con sus manos (Hch. 18:3) al mismo tiempo que seguía sirviendo en el ministerio. Le doy gracias a Dios  porque en poco tiempo proveyó un trabajo para mi, comencé a trabajar en construcción  4 días por semana,   aunque hace mucho calor en Sonora me gusta y estoy contento de estar haciendo esto.  Mi esposa Linda tuvo su primera cita con el doctor aquí en Sonora, gracias a Dios ya tiene 8 meses de embarazo. Actualización del Blog Estamos muy contentos de poder compartir con ustedes esta actualización. Hace 3 meses comenzó el discipulado para hombres Campo Gonia. Es de ánimo ver como  estos hombres están siendo instruidos en la palabra y poniendo en práctica lo que están aprendiendo cada día. Basurero Comenzamos a ir al basurero municipal, hay muchas personas que trabajaban diariamente  reciclando materiales. Son personas con mucha necesidad, no solo económicamente  pero más importante espiritualmente. Estuvimos cantando alabanzas, orando por la gente y compartimos  una comida. Enseñe la palabra de Dios, les hablé de  Jesús, que siendo igual a Dios, dejó el cielo  para  venir a este mundo y dar su vida en rescate por muchos.  Por lo  que Jesús hizo, Dios le dio el más alto honor. Update blog We’re very happy to be able to share this update with you.  The men’s discipleship program, Campo Gonia, started 3 months ago.  It’s encouraging to see how these men are being instructed in the Word and putting into practice the things they’ve learned. Dump We started going to the city dump, where there are many people that work daily sorting through the trash for recyclable material.  They’re very needy people, not just physically, but also spiritually.  We sang worship songs, prayed for the people and shared a meal with them.  I taught the Word of God, told them about Jesus, that though He was in the form of God, He left heaven to come to this earth and give His life a ransom for many.  Because of what Christ did, God bestowed on Him the highest honor – Philippians 2 (please  pray for the people that received Jesus as their Savior) Soccer in Pantanal One of things I really enjoy while here in Nicaragua, is the blessing of being able to share the góspel a

Estamos contentos de haber comenzado el discipulado y estar sirviendo en el lugar donde Dios nos tiene ahora. El embarazo de mi esposa va muy bien, vamos a tener una niña, ya tiene 5 meses y está muy sana!!! Tenemos gozo y gratitud en nuestro corazón al ver el cuidado de Dios sobre nuestra familia, Él es fiel. Gracias por llevarnos en tus oraciones. Campo Gonia - Centro de discipulado para hombres Gonia- Es la palabra griega para piedra angular. Se refiere a la primera, y más importante pieza que usaron los Judíos para edificar el templo, y así asegurar un cimiento fuerte y seguro. Era muy importante que la piedra angular estuviera bien colocada. Aplicando esto a nuestra vida, es una ilustración que nos muestra la importancia de Cristo en la vida del creyente. We’re happy to have started the discipleship program and to be serving in the place that God has placed in right now.  Linda’s pregnancy is going very well, she’s 5 months pregnant with our baby girl who is growing very healthy!!!  We have much joy and thankfulness in our hearts as we see the care that God has for our family, He is faithful.  Thank you so much for your prayers. Men’s Discipleship Program Gonia – Is the greek Word for cornerstone.  It refers to the first and most important stone that the Jews used to build the temple, which ensured a strong and secure foundation.  It was very important that this cornerstone was accurately placed.  As we apply this to our lives, it is an illustration of the importance of Jesus Christ in the life of the believer.  He is our cornerstone, our “Gonia” and only in Him do we have a firm foundation! Preparándonos para comenzar! Estamos muy contentos de compartir con ustedes, esta actualización del Blog. Dios mediante el lunes 16 de marzo daremos inicio al programa de Discipulado Campo Gonia . Estamos trabajando en los últimos detalles de lo que será la casa temporal donde vivirán. Gloria a Dios que ¡Ya hay hombres listos para ser parte del programa! Aquí en Nicaragua hay mucha predicación pero poca enseñanza. Algunos de estos hombres van a la iglesia pero no se han rendido a Cristo completamente, otros están alejados de Dios y hay quienes solamente tienen el deseo de cambiar, aun cuando nunca han sido instruidos en los caminos del Señor . Sabemos que lo único que puede cambiarnos, es el poder de la palabra de Dios que nos limpia, nos da una nueva mente y un corazón nuevo. Creemos   que la adoración a Dios ¡debe traer fruto! Como cristianos, buscamos tener Su amor en nuestras vidas como la mayor evidencia que en verdad le estamos adorando. Nuestro Corazón por estos hombres

Getting ready to Start! We’re very happy to share this updated blog.  Lord willing, we will be starting the Campo Gonia  Men’s Discipleship Program on Monday, March 16th.  We’re working on the final details of the temporary dorm room where the men will be living.  Praise the Lord, we already have men waiting to start the program! There’s a lot of preaching, and very little teaching here in Nicaragua.  Some of these men do attend church, but haven’t surrendered their life completely to Christ.  Others have drifted away from the Lord and then others that are seeking to change their lives, but have no knowledge of the Lord.  We know that the only thing that can change us is the Word of God which cleans us and gives us a new heart and a new mind. We believe that worshipping God brings forth the fruit!  As Christians, we seek to have his love in our lives as the greatest evidence of our worship to Him. Time Flies!  6 weeks in Nicaragua now! First of all, just a few days ago we learned that we will be new parents!  Linda is 2 months pregnant and we’re so thankful to God for this wonderful blessing to our lives.   Arriving here in Nicaragua, we were uncertain of what to expect, living in a foreign country.  We’re happy to have responded to God’s calling to come here.  Our transition is going very well.  Of course, we do miss our family, friends and church and our Mexican food, but we’re getting used to the new changes.  We’re excited to be a part of Campo Gonia Ministry and serve alongside Jaime and Monica Arista.  We’re also very happy that soon, we’ll be starting the new Campo Gonia Men’s Discipleship Program.  We have several projects lined up and we continue to pray for God’s provision to raise up the new dorm buildings for the men.   At the same time, we’re serving with different ministries: visiting the prisoners, ministering to troubled youth in a poor community, minist

El tiempo pasa muy rápido, tenemos 6 semanas en Nicaragua!!! Primero que nada, hace unos días nos enteramos de que vamos a ser papás, Linda tiene 2 meses de embarazo, estamos muy agradecidos con Dios por esta bendición tan grande a nuestras vidas.  Al llegar a Nicaragua no sabíamos exactamente lo que sería vivir en otro país, estamos felices de haber respondido al llamado de Dios de venir aquí, nuestra transición va muy bien, por supuesto que extrañamos nuestra familia, amigos, iglesia y comida mexicana! Pero estamos acostumbrándonos a los nuevos cambios. Estamos emocionados de ser parte del ministerio Campo Gonia ,  sirviendo junto a Jaime y Monica Arista y felices de que en poco tiempo arrancaremos con el programa de discipulado. Tenemos varios proyectos en marcha y seguimos orando por la provisión de Dios para levantar nuevos dormitorios para los muchachos.  Al mismo tiempo estamos sirviendo con diferentes ministerios… visitando a los prisioneros, ministrando a jóvenes pan
