We’re happy to have started the discipleship program and to be serving in the place that God has placed in right now.  Linda’s pregnancy is going very well, she’s 5 months pregnant with our baby girl who is growing very healthy!!!  We have much joy and thankfulness in our hearts as we see the care that God has for our family, He is faithful.  Thank you so much for your prayers.

Men’s Discipleship Program
Gonia – Is the greek Word for cornerstone.  It refers to the first and most important stone that the Jews used to build the temple, which ensured a strong and secure foundation.  It was very important that this cornerstone was accurately placed.  As we apply this to our lives, it is an illustration of the importance of Jesus Christ in the life of the believer.  He is our cornerstone, our “Gonia” and only in Him do we have a firm foundation!
We started the program a month ago.  We have a devotional every day, breakfast together and then we all participate in the activities of living on a working ranch.  As I work alongside the men everyday, it helps me to know them more personally and it helps me to be able to help them deepen their relationship with Jesus.  We have different evening bible studies from Monday through Friday.  We believe in the power and the sufficiency of the Word of God.  In the short time they have been here, we’ve been able to see how their lives are being transformed.  We’re  excited to know that lives and families are being restored.  Glory to God!  Blessed be the ministry that places Jesus Christ as the center.

Ephesians Class and Discipleship Class
It’s a blessing to be able to teach the Word of God and at the same time being taught by the Lord.  I’m teaching the book of Ephesians systematically, chapter by chapter, verse by verse and  seeing the full counsel of God.  The Discipleship class is practical application teaching for daily living.  The bible teaches us that we are to be doers of the Word and not just hearers.  Without a doubt, I believe that the way to grow and mature in our relationship with God is by putting into practice what He has taught us through His Word.

Bible Studies
Besides our midweek bible study, we started to gather for service on Sundays also.  Pastor Jaime Arista is teaching the góspel of John and it’s a blessing.  Linda and I have been inviting the neighbors and glory to God some of them are coming to hear the Word of God!  Please pray that more neighbors would come to hear the good news.

Lo primero que quiero compartir en esta actualización es que Dios es bueno. Mi corazón está muy agradecido con las personas que nos apoyan en oración y económicamente para servir a Dios en Guadalajara. Gracias!! Algunas de estas personas hablaron conmigo y me dijeron que podrían ayudarnos a establecernos y apoyarnos por un año. Un tiempo que ya terminó. Después de orar y pedir dirección a Dios, sabía que necesitaba trabajar para no solamente proveer para mi familia, sino también para poder ser generoso y poder ayudar a personas necesitadas que Dios ha puesto en mi camino. Hice un plan de negocios que compartí con mi pastor y el me animo con estas palabras: es un gran plan, es normal para un pastor tener un trabajo. También es verdad que eventualmente la iglesia debe proveer para el pastor y su familia. Pero eso toma tiempo! God is Faithful

Hello everyone, on this occasion, I, Linda, am writing this blog update.  I think that it’s important to share with you a little of our testimony –what God has done, and what he is doing in our family, since there are new people following our blog, new friends and family in the faith. “I thought it good to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has worked for me.”   –Daniel 4:2 Eduardo was born and raised in Guadalajara.  Afterward, he lived in the United States.  His life was filled with bad decisions and he didn’t know Christ.  At twenty-four years old, he came to Ensenada, Baja California to Rancho Poema, a place for discipleship.  That is where he surrendered his heart to Christ and got to know His love.  He is now thirty-one years old and has seven years walking with the Lord.  I am from Sonora and since I was a little girl, I had the blessing of growing up in a Christian family.  But at the same time, I was a youth who was filled with fears and insecur

Hello everyone, we are very happy to be able to share this update with you.  This month of November we complete one year at Grace Children’s Home.  It has been a time where we have learned to love and to serve these children, and without a doubt, we will miss them.  But at the same time we are content to know that God has guided us to this point and we will take them with us in our prayers and in our hearts.  Thanks to all, we love you!!! On the 22nd of November, we will travel along with our pastor and some friends to Guadalajara.  We will be there a few days praying for the city and seeking God’s direction for a good place to start the church, Calvary Chapel Living Hope, in February of 2017.  Can you pray for us? –That God would open doors and that we would be able to see what God wants to do in this place!  Pray for the people who have heard the gospel, that Jesus would shine in thier hearts.
