Hello family and friends.
I wanted to share an updated blog with you.  As you know, I arrived in Guadalajara with my family to plant Capilla Calvario Esperanza Viva two years ago from the ground up.  We began this adventure of faith convinced of God’s calling on our lives to serve Him in this city.
As a pastor, it’s sometimes been difficult to see the church grow slowly.  But through it all, I’ve learned to rest in the Lord and continue with faith, joy and appreciation.In the recent months, the church has grown with new families that have begun to attend.  My heart is filled with joy when people arrive to hear the word of God and they are consistent in returning.  Most of them are new believers and they have a hunger to know our Lord. It’s a blessing to serve the Lord as we serve His people.  During this time, God has raised up leaders, teachers, and a worship team. To Him be the glory! GOD IS FAITHFUL. Please continue to pray for the things that God is doing at Calvary Esperanza Viva.
I also wanted to share with you that I have a new job that allows me to provide for my family and be a blessing to the church, especially since I don’t receive a salary from the church because we are a young church with mostly new believers.  The offerings only cover a portion of the rent for the church building. Nevertheless, God has provided every month. Glory to God!

As I mentioned in our last blog, the snack stand I was running was consuming a lot of my time and expenses in upkeep and taxes. After praying, I decided to change my employment. I’m now driving for Uber and enjoying my new job because my schedule is flexible to our family’s needs and I have the opportunity to share the Lord with others and invite them to church. The rent I used to pay for the snack stand, is now applied to the monthly car payment for the car I use to work, which is a blessing as our family vehicle also.
My first calling will always be the Lord, my family and the church, in that order.  I also thank the Lord for my wife who helps make it possible and for my children that although they are little, they love the church.  They wish it would be Wednesday and Sunday every day so that they could gather with the brethren.
We thank you very much for your prayers and financial support that helps us to further the kingdom of God here in Guadalajara. 

Prayer Requests: 
- for the church. That they would keep growing in their relationship with Christ 
- For Church Missions groups to come and support us in reaching our great city.
- For my new job, protection while driving.
- For my family - that we would continue to depend on God for His provisions.

Lo primero que quiero compartir en esta actualización es que Dios es bueno. Mi corazón está muy agradecido con las personas que nos apoyan en oración y económicamente para servir a Dios en Guadalajara. Gracias!! Algunas de estas personas hablaron conmigo y me dijeron que podrían ayudarnos a establecernos y apoyarnos por un año. Un tiempo que ya terminó. Después de orar y pedir dirección a Dios, sabía que necesitaba trabajar para no solamente proveer para mi familia, sino también para poder ser generoso y poder ayudar a personas necesitadas que Dios ha puesto en mi camino. Hice un plan de negocios que compartí con mi pastor y el me animo con estas palabras: es un gran plan, es normal para un pastor tener un trabajo. También es verdad que eventualmente la iglesia debe proveer para el pastor y su familia. Pero eso toma tiempo! Así que compartí este plan con 3 personas que siempre han creído en el llamado de Dios para mí y también han sido muy generosos con mi familia. De esta manera tuvi

God is Faithful

Hello everyone, on this occasion, I, Linda, am writing this blog update.  I think that it’s important to share with you a little of our testimony –what God has done, and what he is doing in our family, since there are new people following our blog, new friends and family in the faith. “I thought it good to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has worked for me.”   –Daniel 4:2 Eduardo was born and raised in Guadalajara.  Afterward, he lived in the United States.  His life was filled with bad decisions and he didn’t know Christ.  At twenty-four years old, he came to Ensenada, Baja California to Rancho Poema, a place for discipleship.  That is where he surrendered his heart to Christ and got to know His love.  He is now thirty-one years old and has seven years walking with the Lord.  I am from Sonora and since I was a little girl, I had the blessing of growing up in a Christian family.  But at the same time, I was a youth who was filled with fears and insecur

Hello everyone, we are very happy to be able to share this update with you.  This month of November we complete one year at Grace Children’s Home.  It has been a time where we have learned to love and to serve these children, and without a doubt, we will miss them.  But at the same time we are content to know that God has guided us to this point and we will take them with us in our prayers and in our hearts.  Thanks to all, we love you!!! On the 22nd of November, we will travel along with our pastor and some friends to Guadalajara.  We will be there a few days praying for the city and seeking God’s direction for a good place to start the church, Calvary Chapel Living Hope, in February of 2017.  Can you pray for us? –That God would open doors and that we would be able to see what God wants to do in this place!  Pray for the people who have heard the gospel, that Jesus would shine in thier hearts.
