April

Hello everyone, we want to share what God has been doing in Guadalajara these last weeks. We are very grateful with God for His faithfulness, for allowing us to complete the calling He has put in our hearts and for having chosen us for His work.

Time is flying –just three months ago we began the church! God is doing great things in the church. Every Sunday we see people come to hear the word of God and little by little we are growing. We now have Sunday school classes for the kids and a worship team!
It is a joy for me to have led my friend, Elijah to Christ. Before coming to know Christ, he was my companion on the streets. On April 9th, I had the privilege to send him to a discipleship ranch in Baja California where he will be able to deepen his relationship with God and know “Him who called us out of darkness and into His glorious light”.
Service on Resurrection Sunday, Easter, was a very special day where we remembered that it is Jesus’ resurrection that gives us “Living Hope”. First Peter, chapter one, verse three says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.” It’s something we always want to remember as a church. We also celebrate that seven people took the step of obedience to be baptized.
In such a catholic environment, and on occasion even hostile to Christians, we know that this is only thanks to God! We are seeing lives surrendered to Jesus and His Word! Neighbors are coming to church, knowing they are welcome! Thank you for supporting is in your prayers. God is good.
Lastly, we want to share something very personal. My father-in-law is very sick. A few days ago, he was diagnosed with Hepatitis-C in a very advanced stage. The doctors said that they can’t do anything for him. We know of a sister in Christ who is a doctor in natural medicine in Rosarito. We spoke with her and she offered to give him a treatment to clean and restore his liver. We left Guadalajara for ten days to take him to begin the treatment. Thanks to God, Tyler and his wife, along with the team are helping to continue with the church during these days. We ask for your prayers that God would do a miracle in the health of my father-in-law and strengthen his faith in such a difficult time.
In making this unexpected trip, we are having to spend much more than we’d contemplated and we want to ask that if God puts it on your hearts to support us economically in any way, to please contact us.
